Prof. Robert Reisch, PhD, MD

endomin-neurochirurgie-hirslanden-robert-reisch-portrait Prof. Robert Reisch, PhD, MD, was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1971. He studied at the renowned Semmelweis University and received his medical degree in 1996. He was awarded the prestigious distinction “Pro Scientia” by the President of the Hungarian Republic. During and after his studies, he worked as a researcher at the Institute of Anatomy with the Semmelweis University under the guidance of Dr Lajos Patonay. He underwent neurosurgical specialist training at the Neurosurgical University Hospital in Mainz as a student of Dr Axel Perneczky. He completed his habilitation (postdoctoral lecturing qualification) in 2004 and became the chief physician of the clinic. In 2008, he declined the position of the acting director of the clinic. He then transferred to Zurich and became a senior physician at the University Hospital (Director: Dr Helmut Bertalanffy). Two years later, he moved to the Hirslanden Clinic and founded the ENDOMIN Centre in Zurich. Together with his long-standing partner, Dr Nikolai Hopf, he established the ENDOMIN College in 2015.

Assistant Doctors

In 2012 and in cooperation with the Hirslanden Clinic Zurich, the ENDOMIN Centre was granted the FMH C Approval for neurosurgical residency training. As the training officer, Dr Reisch offers a year-long training programme in the field of endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgery to experienced junior doctors in their final year of training. The medical team is supplemented with international guests who are completing a 1–6 month residency with the support of ENDOMIN Foundation and the KARL STORZ Fellowship.

Our secretarial staff takes care of the entire practice scheduling and calls in patients for preoperative counselling and for post-operative checks. The focus is not only on organisational skills and flexibility but also on the human expertise.
